Asked BEFORE the application

- ETA is an electronic authorization to visit Sri Lanka. On 1st of January 2012, it became mandatory to obtain for the travelers who hold certain nationalities. It can be applied easily online and the applicant will be notified via email when the ETA is issued properly. All of the visitors must have a valid visa issued by the immigration office of Colombo.
- You can simply fill the information based on your passport on our application form. Remember to put all the information correctly and truthfully.

If you are using credit card that belongs to other person, you must have an agreement from the holder when making a payment.

No, all the approval is made electronically. Please remember that the approval of your ETA does NOT confirm your entry to Sri Lanka. The immigration officer at the airport holds the final authority for the entry judgment. In case of any emergencies, we recommend for you to keep your ETA reference number noted.
No. ETA expires as soon as your passport expires/loses its validity. If you have new passport, you must apply for another ETA if you need one.
Sri Lanka ETA is valid for 3 months. To apply for a Sri Lanka ETA, your passport needs to remain its validity at least 6 months. If not, you must obtain a new passport.
